Sfclayworks
In 2011, our old studio, The Clay Studio of SF, was closed when our owner, John, retired to Maine. Six other potters from The Clay studio banded together to look for a new space. Sfclayworks is now an LLC with 5 partners.
After looking at over 40 spaces, we found our present home location at 2240 Palou Avenue in SF.
Until the pandemic hit, we held classes and had community members. Since 2019, we have revised our program to be a more cooperative studio with experienced community members sharing the workload, and no more classes. We host in house workshops and training sessions on all practical aspects of running a studio as well as technical skill building.
