| Nina is an accomplished potter with over 20 years of studio work. In
addition to her avocation of ceramics, she is a nationally recognized
tradeswoman, with over 30 years of experience in the San Francisco Bay
Area Construction industry. She is currently teaching construction management classes in the Architecture Department at City College of San Francisco. In her ceramics work, Nina uses stoneware and porcelain for her hand built pieces as well as for her thrown and altered work. She has worked out of The Clay Studio in San Francisco for the last 20 years. It will close in November of 2011. Nina and others from The Clay Studio are now involved in a brand new spin off studio called sfclayworks, located at 2240 Palou Avenue in San Francisco. At sfclayworks the work will be high fired in a gas kiln, and there will be a limited number of classes offered. She has been taught by well-known local San Francisco potters John DeLois and Joyce Fujiwara, and has taken workshops with nationally renowned potters such as Ellen Shankin, Jane Shallenberger, and Matt Long. |
